Kashmir start-up expo to kick off in Srinagar today
Srinagar, Nov 9, (KNN) The three-day 'Kashmir Expo Start-ups for Livelihood' to begin at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar on November 9.
The Start-up expo is being organized under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation-India.
Union Minister of State, Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the event in the presence of Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, Jammu and Kashmir.
The primary aim of the 'Kashmir Expo Start-up for Livelihood' is to provide better employment opportunities to the local people in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per reports, around 55 start-ups from across the country will be participating in this start-up exhibition.
Since 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi first talked about 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', it fuelled many ambitions within the country.
Earlier this year, Singh had also inaugurated the Start-up Expo in Jammu. (KNN Bureau)
