MoHUA invites startup to participate in Transport4All Challenge

New Delhi, Dec 21 (KNN) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has called for startups to apply for the Stage 2 of Transport4All Challenge, where they will have to design digital solution to transform public transport in India.

The aim of the initiative is to bring together cities, citizens, and startups to develop solutions that improve public transport to better serve the needs of all citizens.

The last date to apply for the challenge is December 30, 2022 and result will declared within a period of one month.

Detailed eligibility criteria includes company age with period of existence and operations should not be exceeding 10 years from the date of incorporation.

In view of company type it must be incorporated as a Private Limited Company, a Registered Partnership Firm, or a Limited Liability Partnership.

It should have an annual turnover not exceeding Rs 100 crore for any of the financial years since its Incorporation.

The entity should not have been formed by splitting up or reconstructing an already existing business.

It should work towards the development or improvement of a product, process, or service and/or have a scalable business model with high potential for the creation of wealth & employment.

PoC stage startups can also apply and fiscal incentive up to Rs 20 lakh per problem statement would be provided to about 16 startups.

The non-fiscal incentives include the guidance to the startups from the industry experts, an opportunity to work with cities and pilot the solution in the city.

The winning startups will pilot their solution with the city in real-life conditions for at least 2 months to evaluate the robustness and efficacy of the solutions and sharpen them to improve the mobility of citizens.  (KNN Bureau)
