Speciale Invest launches Rs 200 cr fund to scale up investments in portfolio Start-ups
New Delhi, Apr 5 (KNN) Venture capital (VC) firm Speciale Invest on Wednesday announced the launch of a Rs 200 crore growth fund.
It will deploy this new fund to invest in its portfolio startups. The new fund will have a an initial investment of Rs 100 crore.
The fund is a SEBI-registered Category-II alternative investment fund (AIF) and has so far seen participation from high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra HNIs and other family offices.
The firm will use the capital to fund portfolio companies working in areas such as space-tech, green hydrogen, robotics, green mobility, high-potential technology start-ups, AI-led platforms, among others.
In an interview to Inc42, Arjun Rao, general partner at Speciale Invest, said, “With an initial investment of Rs 100 crore and plans to increase it further in the coming months, we look forward to partnering with promising startups and providing them with the resources and guidance they need to achieve their full potential.”
The launch of the new fund comes at a time when VC firms have restrained from investing in Indian start-ups. (KNN Bureau)
