VC Firm 100X.VC Invests USD 2.7 Mn In 17 Start-ups Through 11th Cohort

Mumbai, Jun 3 (KNN) Mumbai-based venture capital firm 100X.VC has announced an investment of USD 2.7 million across 17 early-stage start-ups as part of its 11th cohort. This latest tranche brings the total number of companies in the firm's portfolio to 161.

According to Ninad Karpe, Founder and Partner,100X.VC, each of the 17 start-ups received an investment of approximately USD 165,000. The founding teams were also provided mentorship to refine their product and go-to-market strategies.

The diverse group of start-ups span sectors such as B2B SaaS, APIs, health technology, climate technology, food and beverage, and pet technology.

The companies include Anyway.ai, Baylink, Deepvue.tech, EasyReplenish, Futr Studios, GoCodeo, Hummsa Biotech, Kroto, Openleaf, Origgo, Orbit Wallet, Pet Chef, Pettle, The Naturik Co, Whitetable, Zircle, and Zafo Technologies.

For this cohort, 100X.VC utilised iSafe notes, an investment structure where the firm makes a cash investment in return for a convertible instrument.

The VC pitch day in Mumbai witnessed a turnout exceeding 400 investors, comprising high net worth individuals, family offices, venture funds, and corporations.

"In this cohort, our start-ups span diverse sectors with transformative potential," stated Ninad Karpe.

"We are confident that India's early-stage start-up ecosystem is brimming with promising opportunities, and the start-ups in Class 11 exemplify these," he added.

Established in 2019, 100X.VC is a SEBI-registered Category I Alternate Investment Fund focused on early-stage ventures. The firm is backed by Mehta Ventures, the family office investment arm of angel investor Sanjay Mehta.
