Symbiosis establishes a dedicated university to focus on skill development

Indore, June 25 (KNN) The Symbiosis Open Education Society has established a Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences which will focus on the area of skill development in Indore.

The University has been established under the leadership of President and Founder, Symbiosis Padma Bhushan Dr.  S  B Mujumdar & Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Vice President, Symbiosis Foundation, first of its kind Skill Development University, based on the German model, has been established at Indore.

As per the statement issued by the University, the industry needs a large pool of skilled manpower. To crystallise the ‘Make in India’ mission of the Prime Minister and to provide opportunities of gainful employment to the youth, Symbiosis  University  of  Applied  Sciences  will  offer short  term  skill  based courses as well as degree programs in high   growth   sectors   of   Automobile, Construction,  Manufacturing,  IT,  Retail,  Banking  &  Finance.

The  University  has already  collaborated  with  over  20 leading industries in  India and  12  German Universities of  Applied  Sciences. In  this  unique  model  of  Skill  Development,  top industry leaders such as Reliance Capital, HDFC Bank, Future Group and Mahindra & Mahindra are also setting up their bases on the University campus, to provide skill training to students, in order to make them job ready, added the statement.

Symbiosis  University  of  Applied  Sciences  will  offer short  term  skill  based courses as well as degree programs in high   growth   sectors   of   Automobile, Construction,  Manufacturing,  IT,  Retail,  Banking  &  Finance. (KNN Bureau)
