Task force constituted for Artificial intelligence- Digitizing Manufacturing Sector: Sitharaman

New Delhi, Aug 26 (KNN) Eyeing at accelerated growth, the government has constituted a task force on artificial intelligence to gear up for the industrial revolution 4.0 will special focus on digitizing the manufacturing sector in the country, Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.

Sitharaman said that it is just about time that the country will be witnessing the 4^th variant of the Industrial revolution in the form of Industrial Revolution 4.0, facilitated by advancement in information technology and hardware.

She further emphasized that the manufacturing sector in the country needs to go digital, and this is now possible than ever before because of all the advancement in Data Technology.

Also artificial intelligence and analytics will help further transform the sector.

A panel comprising of experts from various fields including academics and researchers has been formed to explore the possibilities in order to leverage artificial intelligence for development across various sectors of the industry. (KNN/ DA)
