Technical institutions advised to curate industry oriented courses

New Delhi, June 22 (KNN) To enhance employability of students the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has asked technical institutions and universities to curate industry-led course modules.
To get better insights on module preparation, the council has requested universities to interact with leading industry associations and also asked to give credits to students for these courses.
AICTE recognised that industries are now coming forward to support in providing core technical skills, digital skills, and vocational skills in universities and technical institutes.
“You are therefore requested to interact with leading industries, industry associations for the development and promotion of industry oriented course modules, and credits may be given to students for completing such course modules. It will help in making students industry-ready and more employable. All universities may discuss the need for industry interaction and allotment of credits based on learning outcomes of students,” said AICTE’s notification.
The council has partnered with industries and industry associations to develop industry-oriented and skill-based course modules and facilitate internship of students in industry. (KNN Bureau)
