Textile Park will connect cotton growers with the industry directly: Fadnavis

Mumbai, Dec 18 (KNN) With the view to connect the farmers directly with the industry, Maharashtra government has approved nine new textile parks throughout the state.

Writing on the micro-blogging site twitter, the state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “This Textile Park will be a value addition to cotton growers as it will directly connect farmers to industries, giving a better price.”

Out of the nine textile parks announced, two are in Vidarbha while rest are in Marathwada and Jalgaon districts of North Maharashtra.

While addressing at the Textile Seminar, CM spoke about the various efforts put in by the government for Textile Park in order to connect the cotton belt for “Fashion to Fashion” initiative.

Fadnavis said the growth potential for the textile industry will always be there as the demands for garments never die. (KNN Bureau)
