KVIC Showcases Khadi Products and Design Innovations at Bharat Tex 2026

New Delhi, Jul 15 (KNN) Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Chairman Manoj Goel on Tuesday inaugurated the Khadi India Pavilion at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi, where products from Khadi institutions across the country are being showcased.

Located at Bharat Mandapam, the pavilion features a range of Khadi and village industry products, including apparel, home linen, home décor, indigenous fibre-based products and contemporary lifestyle collections. 

During his visit, Goel interacted with artisans, exhibitors and representatives of Khadi institutions from different states and reviewed products and design innovations on display.

The Chairman also visited displays highlighting traditional Khadi production tools and inspected contemporary collections developed under the theme "Khadi Reimagined: Tradition for Contemporary Living." The pavilion includes products designed for younger consumers under the initiative "Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Khadi."

Goel also reviewed the Mula Jamdani saree and apparel collection presented by the Ghoranash Silk Khadi Gramodyog Samiti of West Bengal, which combines traditional weaving techniques with contemporary designs.

According to KVIC, the Khadi and Village Industries sector recorded a turnover of more than Rs 1.87 lakh crore during FY 2025-26 and provided employment to over 2.04 crore people. Bharat Tex 2026 is being held at Bharat Mandapam from July 14 to 17.
