Two-day textile conclave begins in Varanasi today

Varanasi, Dec 14 (KNN) As part of the ongoing Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi, a two-day textile conclave is being organised at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Trade Facilitation Centre at Bada Lalpur from December 14, 2022.

The textile conclave will display handloom, handicraft, jute and silk products of Varanasi and Tamil Nadu. Live demonstration of weaving by weavers and artisans will also be part of this exhibition followed by Guru-Shishya Samvad (teacher-disciple conversation) on expertise and experiences by master weavers and craftsmen.

As per reports, the participants from Tamil Nadu (Tirupur and Karur) and UP (Varanasi and Noida) will share experience about textile cluster approach. They will reach Namo Ghat to board cruise to reach Kashi Vishwanath temple and take part in Ganga Aarti.

On Thursday the series of events will begin with Textiles Samvad: Interaction of textile industry and business persons from Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

It will be followed by brainstorming session with textile industry and interaction with stakeholders including industry and beneficiaries. A textile advisory group meeting will take place before the end of event.

Union textile minister Piyush Goyal will take part in the conclave.  (KNN Bureau)
