Women’s Industry Body Forms AP Handloom Council In Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Aug 7 (KNN) The Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) launched the Andhra Pradesh handloom council in Visakhapatnam.

WICCI founder Harbeen Arora Rani joined the event virtually and congratulated the new team and emphasised on the importance of everyone working together as soul sisters. 

Speaking at the launch, Sakina Ansari, WICCI National Handloom Council president highlighted the importance of integrating handloom and craft education into school curriculum.

Madhya Pradesh handloom council president Rupal Joshi showcased a few weaves of MP and mentioned the importance of spending time in villages to learn its importance.

Among the guests were Parijata Satpathy (wife of former Waltair DRM Anup Kumar Satpathy), and National Handloom Council Member Jeeja Valsraj.   (KNN Bureau)
