TiE, DoIT Partners to Empower Women Entrepreneurs in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jul 9 (KNN) In an initiative to propel women entrepreneurs fr0m Rajasthan onto the global stage, TiE Rajasthan has joined forces with the Department of Information Technology (DoIT), which operates the I-Start incubation centre.

This collaboration aims to showcase innovative startup ideas, ventures, and entrepreneurial talent to a broader investor community.

Under this partnership, TiE-Rajasthan will provide mentorship to women entrepreneurs enrolled in the I-Start program, preparing them for TiE's global competition. This event spans across approximately 60 locations worldwide, including 22 in India.

Indrajit Singh, Commissioner of the Department of IT and Communication, emphasised that this joint effort is designed to foster innovation among women entrepreneurs and facilitate the creation of efficient business solutions.

The response to this initiative has been overwhelming, with TiE-Rajasthan already receiving over 60 applications fr0m aspiring entrepreneurs eager to pitch their business ideas.

The selected participants will have the opportunity to showcase their ventures at the prestigious TiE Global summit, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru this year.

It's worth noting that last year's summit in Singapore saw participation fr0m a woman-led entrepreneur fr0m Rajasthan.

Sheenu Jhawar, President of TiE-Rajasthan, stated, "Besides I-Start, we are reaching out to other incubation centers in the state. The process has started, and TiE-Rajasthan will hold pitching sessions to select the best startups."

Jhawar also highlighted the diverse nature of the participating startups, which span various economic sectors, including governance and social impact areas.

While only a select few will advance to the final round, this initiative provides an invaluable experience for all participants. It offers a unique platform for startups to gain exposure and potentially attract funding to scale their innovative ideas.

This collaboration between TiE Rajasthan and DoIT represents a significant step towards empowering women entrepreneurs in the region and showcasing Rajasthan's entrepreneurial talent on a global scale.
