TN to host conference on automotive R&D trends

Chennai, Feb 24, (KNN) To address the critical challenges faced in the automotive and auto component industry, the Tamil Nadu Technology Development and Promotion Center of CII is organising a conference on automotive R&D trends.

Scheduled to be held on February-28, the Conference will be held on February-28, here under the theme ‘R&D Challenges for Sustainable Mobility.’

“The conference aims to collectively address the rising needs of mobility by bringing together key stakeholders with multidisciplinary expertise to interact on sustainable mobility and critical challenges faced in the automotive and auto component industry. It facilitates a high end discussion on priority areas for developing robust systems and solutions through research and innovation and attempting to channel the technology development in the automotive industry towards sustainability,” said a press release. 
 
It will cover the topics such as Sustainable Green Transportation - Role of Auto and Auto Component Industry; Government Policies and R&D Challenges in Urban mobility; Future of Mobility - Advanced and Integrated Systems in Vehicles; Transportation and Infrastructure; Innovative Technologies for Changing Mobility – Affordable and Profitable Business Models.
 
More than 250 people from diverse Indian and overseas industries like technology companies catering to the automotive and allied sectors, academia, government ministries, automotive industries and organisations, transportation and mobility systems as well as those desiring to diversify in the technology sector will be participating in the event.
 
The participants will get an opportunity to meet and interact with organisations involved in these technologies. It will provide them a learning platform and business networking opportunities like joint technology development, identify new business and technology areas, facilitate technology transfer, transfer commercially available off-the-shelf scalable technologies, actively collaborate with institutes and research labs for researches, and cater to knowledge exchange through industry or institute exchange programs etc.
 
Prominent global speakers from leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), prominent auto component industries, transport organizations, infrastructure companies, service providers, system integrators, government officials, corporate consultants etc. will share their knowledge and thoughts at the conference.
