To encourage sales, MSME Minister gives the call to buy Khadi this Diwali

New Delhi, Oct 17 (KNN) In an attempt to facilitate boost to the Khadi sector, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Giriraj Singh made an appeal to buy Khadi products in the upcoming Diwali season.

The Minister made the appeal through his official twitter handle saying “This Diwali, buy at least one Khadi product and appreciate artisans skills”.

Also recently, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has launched an improved six and eight- spindle Charkha (spinning wheel) for coarse Khadi weaving, in order to boost productivity.

MSME Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurated the new Charkhas recently in presence of KVIC Chairman V K Saxena.

Also different key government ministers including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi have time and again spoken of the fabric and it being instrumental for the country. (KNN/DA)
