Training-cum-workshop on essential oils, perfumery

Kannauj, Apr 23 (KNN) The Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) is imparting a training-cum-workshop to provide the educational, technical and commercial knowledge of essential oils, fragrances and aromatherapy.

The training programme on perfumery from natural sources to application stage including quality assessment, blending and processing technologies is to be held from May 15 to 17 at Orchid Hotel in Mumbai.

The course content will cover the topics such as business opportunities in essential oil, perfumery and aromatherapy, essential oils their cultivation, methods for extraction of essential oils, healing properties of essential oils, application of essential oils, quality control and analysis of essential oils including sensory evaluation, aromatherapy - through the ages, basics of aromatherapy and its branches, evolution of Perfumery, olfaction methodology,  classification of odours and its evaluation, creation of fragrances, chemistry of carrier oils and storage of essential oils, blending of aroma oils with carrier oils and practical of creation of fragrances.

The programme will be beneficial for individuals including cosmetologist, beauticians, scientists, doctors, aroma therapist, student’s traders and entrepreneurs who want to enter in this filed.

FFDC aims to serve as an interface between essential oil, fragrance and flavour industry and the research and design institutions both in the field of agro technology and chemical technology. (KNN/ST)
