Training in power plant engineering

Faridabad, Apr 25 (KNN) The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) under the Ministry of Power is offering a short-term post graduate certificate course (PGDC) in the area of thermal power plant engineering here.
The 12 weeks certificate course for candidates willing to make a career in the power industry will commence from June-16.
While the course is suitable for students having bachelor’s degree in engineering or its equivalent in mechanical, electrical, electronics, control and instrumentation and power engineering, it can also be attended by junior and middle level managers, executives or officers as sponsored candidates.
Syllabus for program was designed based on Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2010.
The PGDC will help candidates acquiring knowledge and skill of thermal power plant practices and thereby increase their opportunities for getting placement in the power sector.
NPTI has trained over 1,80,000 power professionals in regular programs over the last four decades. It operates on an all India basis with manpower strength of 377 including 105 officers through its nine Institutes in different zones of the country. (KNN/ST)
