Vodafone-Idea to digitally transform 2.5 lakh MSMEs

Mumbai, Aug 3 (KNN) The telecom operator Vodafone Idea Ltd. (VIL) has aimed to help 2.5 lakh MSMEs in their journey of digital transformation through its Vi Business ‘Ready for Next program’.

VIL Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Aravind Nevatia told The Hindu that as part of its business plans to support MSMEs harness the power of digital technology and grow in the post-pandemic period it has targeted to scale up its reach to 2.5 lakh MSMEs.

Nevatia referred MSME sector as a crucial sector owing to its 30 per cent contribution in the GDP of India and its employment basket of 110 million Indians.

Cybersecurity along with physical security is an important aspect that MSMEs are thinking about, he said.

To facilitate the digital transformation of the MSMEs the company had rolled out Vi Business ‘Ready for Next program’ helping enterprises to expand their business.

Vi helps MSME grow their business, engage with their customers and secure their business and has a portfolio of mobility solutions as a telecommunication company.  (KNN Bureau)
