Wadhwani Foundation launches ‘spirit of entrepreneurship’ campaign
New Delhi, Aug 20 (KNN) The Wadhwani Foundation on Wednesday launched a special campaign celebrating the ‘Spirit of Entrepreneurship’. The campaign branded as ‘Heart to heart: From one Entrepreneur to Another’, focuses on knowledge sharing by leading entrepreneurs to help other startups and entrepreneurs reeling under the pandemic by sharing their inspirational stories – how they found a way out even in times of acute economic and business distress.
While launching a special campaign celebrating the ‘Spirit of Entrepreneurship’, '' Dr Ajay Kela, President and CEO, Wadhwani Foundation, said, “The COVID-19 disruption has created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for entrepreneurs and startups. Behavioural changes of doctors and patients, teachers and students, retailers and consumers, companies and employees, policy evangelists and policymakers, etc., which would have taken years, have changed overnight and will become the new normal.''
''New entrepreneurs should build solutions that align with these new behaviours, and existing entrepreneurs have the advantage of having started the journey to pivot quickly. Data suggests that the best time to start a company is during a crisis,'' he added.
Kela further termed this pandemic as the mother of all crises, as well as the mother of all opportunities asking entrepreneurs not to waste the crisis and start something new or pivot to the new norm.
''Most of the sectors, barring a few, will struggle due to the declining demand and low consumer sentiment. Hence, this is the time for startups entrepreneurs to preserve cash, get nimble, be ready to pivot to meet new customer needs through change and innovation, and not hesitate to seek help,'' he emphasised.
Under the ‘Spirit of Entrepreneurship’, the foundation has launched a series of five video messages by leading entrepreneurs sharing their valuable experiences in a heart-to-heart and inspiring manner, talking about their journey, the road to be a successful entrepreneur and the resilience required to tide over the COVID-19 crisis by turning adversity into business opportunity.
''We conceptualized the --Heart to Heart campaign-- as an inspirational voice to encourage and uplift the general mood in the startup and entrepreneur community through the confidence, never-say-die spirit and business acumen of five wonderful entrepreneurs who have turned adversity into opportunity,” he said.
