WB government to initiate skill development training for employment in jute industry
New Delhi, July 9 (KNN) To create voluntary employment in the jute industry, the Bengal government has announced skill development program in the state.
The program is for those people who are interested to get employed in the jute industry.
This program will be run by labour department for a period of 3 months of which one month will be allocated for theoretical training and rest 2 months for practical training.
For this, training centres have been set up at the employment centres in Bankura, Howrah and Dum Dum.
With regards to qualifications, the minimum educational qualification should be class 8 passed and the minimum age should be 18 years.
Also, there are provision for stipends and placement opportunities in the jute industry under this program.
The west Bengal government is taking earnest efforts to take the jute industry back on the growth path as earlier it suffered for many years.
