WB, Maharashtra transcos setting up new sub-stations; seek bids

Kolkata/Pune, May 14 (KNN) The West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (WBSETCL) has begun preliminary work on the Gokarna 400/220 KV sub-station and invited bids from domestic firms for award of the turnkey project.
 
The bids have been invited from firms for “design, engineering, civil construction, supply and delivery, erection testing and commissioning, including transportation and insurance and storage in respect of Gokarna 400/220 KV sub-station and construction of transformer bay…,” the WBSETCL said in its announcement.
 
Gokarna is a small town located in the Murshidabad area of West Bengal.
 
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd (Mahatransco) has also invited bids for establishment of 400/200 KV sub-station at Alkud in Sangali district and 400 KV line bays at Jejuri in Pune district.
 
The NTPC for its Unchahar thermal station also has asked for bids for procurement of transformers and other equipment worth about Rs four crore.  (KNN)
