Win India 2013 features over 5000 products

New Delhi, Dec 17 (KNN)  Over 5000 products and new technologies are currently being showcased at the world’s leading industrial trade fair - Win India 2013.   
 
Organised by Hannover Messe, the four day event began here today, featuring about 500 exhibitors from 27 countries.
 
Win India – World of Industry 2013 was inaugurated by Vice President, Deutsche Messe AG, Wolfgang Pech; Managing Director, Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd, Mehul Shah; Italian Ambassador to India, Daniele Mancini; and Minister Counsellor, Head of Economic and Commercial Division, German Embassy, New Delhi, Jose’ B Schulz.
 
“The Government of India has targeted to increase the manufacturing sector’s contribution to the GDP to 25 per cent by 2022. To reach this goal, India will have to enhance its productivity by transforming the existing fabric of the Indian manufacturing industry. To support the mission, the show brings a variety of important verticals into focus under the brand of WIN INDIA,” said a press release.

The trade fair has hosted five specialised and dedicated industrial fairs under one roof:  While MDA INDIA has focussed on Motion, Drive and Automation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electro-Mechanical Transmission; Industrial Automation INDIA has been dedicated to Process and Factory Automation and Industrial Building Automation.

On the other hand, CeMAT INDIA has showcased Materials handling/ Intralogistics, Storage Systems, Warehousing and Logistic Services; while Surface Technology INDIA has catered to manufacturers in Paint and Coating Systems, Electroplating and Surface Engineering Techniques. Lastly, Industrial Supply INDIA has provided a platform for Subcontracting, Components and Parts, Composites and New Materials.

The highlight of day one was the launch of FESTO SMART BIRD. SmartBird is an ultralight but powerful flight model with excellent aerodynamic qualities and extreme agility. The minimal use of materials and the extremely lightweight construction pave the way for efficiency in resource and energy consumption.

WIN INDIA - World of Industry has been designed to create a consortium for industrial manufacturers, engineers, wholesalers and decision makers for government procurements like Defence, Airlines, Railways, Public Sector Undertakings of Central and State Government. Buyers and sellers will be able to meet in one location, achieve economies of scale and be able to find solutions to industry wide problems.  (KNN/ES)
