Women entrepreneurs from 14 states participate in IWE Conference at Bhopal

Bhopal, Mar 25 (KNN) Women entrepreneurs from 14 states across India are participating in the three day International Women Entrepreneur Conference SWEEP – 2022 organised by Madhya Pradesh association of Women Entrepreneurs (MAWE).

The event was inaugurated on Thursday by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Approximately 100 stalls have been set up by women entrepreneurs in the exhibition showcasing varied collection of outfits, cosmetics, jewellery, handcrafts, green products, home décor, and hygiene-related products.

Thanking CM Chauhan, Archana Bhatnagar, President, MAWE appreciated his efforts and vision for the women entrepreneurs in the state. 

This is the first time that SWEEP is being held in Bhopal wherein women entrepreneurs and delegates have participated.

“Through this event they will come across various opportunities to learn about the demand for Indian products on the international level and how they can send small orders overseas as well,” she added.

Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon and MSME minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha were present on this occasion. 

The event is supported by the MSME Ministry (Govt. of India), MSME Ministry, MPSIDC, MP Tourism, and other organisations.

Dr. Shishir Priyadarshi, Director, World Trade Organization, Geneva has arrived for the conference to understand and learn about how do women entrepreneurs work and function.

Women entrepreneurs from SAARC countries have showed their support to empower Indian women entrepreneurs towards digital marketing. 

The international exhibition is entry-free and is taking place at Kushabhau Thackeray Hall (Mintoo Hall) from 24-26 March, 2022. (KNN Bureau)
