Workshop on 'Digitization of clearances for setting up projects'

New Delhi, Oct 9 (KNN)  In order to bring in transparency to the process of clearances of industrial projects, as a first step, the process of digitization of these clearances has been embarked upon.
 
In this regard, FICCI in association with Project Monitoring Group, Cabinet Secretariat is organizing a consultative workshop on ‘Digitization of Clearances for Setting-up Projects’ here on October-10.
 
Monitoring Group (PMG) is currently facilitating the digitization of all project-related clearances required both at the central and state level. It has been estimated by FICCI and PMG that over sixty clearances are required for various projects at the central level and another 65 clearances at the state level to initiate the project.
 
Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Amitabh Kant will address the meeting, according to official data.
 
Further, Additional Secretary, Project Monitoring Group, Cabinet Secretariat, Anil Swarup, Director General, NIC and Joint Secretary, Deity, Ajay Kumar and Secretary General, FICCI, A Didar Singh, would also address the inaugural session.

Senior representatives of key States like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab are also participating in the event.  (KNN/ES)
