Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster To Drive Rs 32,417 Cr Investment, 1.25 Lakh Jobs

Chandigarh, Sep 18 (KNN) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed officials to expedite construction of the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) near Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar, a project with an estimated investment potential of Rs 32,417 crore and employment potential of around 1.25 lakh jobs.

The directions were issued during a review of major development projects under the State Pragati Portal, where officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the IMC and associated airport infrastructure.

First Phase Covers 1,578 Acres

The first phase of the IMC covers 1,578 acres, with the government having acquired 100 per cent of the required land. Environmental clearance has also been secured.

The construction tender has been floated and the evaluation and selection of bids are at an advanced stage, following which work is expected to begin.

The overall IMC will span 2,988 acres at an estimated project cost of Rs 4,680 crore.

Multi-Sector Industrial Hub

The cluster is planned as a multi-sector industrial hub covering defence and aerospace, agro-food processing, garments and textiles, along with supporting infrastructure.

The development will also include a Skill Development Centre, Convention Centre and Exhibition Hall, Logistics Park and Multi-Speciality Hospital.

Saini directed officials to make provisions for aerospace, an Army corridor and medical activities within the cluster, while also reviewing requirements for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations at Hisar Airport.

Airport, Logistics Infrastructure

Infrastructure linked to the airport is being developed alongside the cluster, including water supply facilities and a 220-kV power substation to support upcoming industrial and commercial facilities.

The IMC is being developed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor in collaboration with the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).

Located near the airport and key road and rail networks, the cluster will have connectivity through NH-52 and NH-09 and proximity to the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors.

Saini instructed officials to ensure that construction activities face no delays while maintaining quality standards.
