New Delhi Dec 10 (KNN) The MSMEs from Gujarat, the home turf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has got less than 10 per cent share for MSMEs under his flagship programme 'Make in India' opined that since their state is already developed in terms of industrialization, other states have been given the opportunity to industrialize.

They, however, acknowledged that there has been some slowdown in terms of growth of industries in the last one year.

Speaking to KNN, President of Federation of Industries and Associations of Gujarat  (FIAG) Jagdish Ramani said, “Gujarat is already a developed state so there is a need to promote others state like Rajasthan, Haryana, Tamil Nadu etc. which needs to be developed in terms of industrialization.”

He also said that Gujarat is still the number one state in terms of Industrialisation.

Gujarat got only four out of the 25 lakh MSMEs selected under his flagship programme 'Make in India'. This accounts for less than 10 per cent of the 57 MSMEs across India which got Rs 106.30 crore as a boost to the sector.

Meanwhile, Ramani said, “In the last one year there has been a slowdown in terms of growth of industries, that too because of global slowdown.” (KNN Bureau)
