29th edition of ‘Western Rajasthan Industry Handicrafts Festival’ begins from today
New Delhi, Jan 4 (KNN) In the Jodhpur city of Rajasthan, the 29th edition of the ‘Western Rajasthan Industry Handicrafts Festival’ is going to kick off today.
Designed to promote indigenous art and crafts, this festival is being held in collaboration with the District Administration, District Industry Centre, Enterprise Promotion Institute, Jaipur, and the nodal agency, Marudhara Industrial Association.
Artisans from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Punjab, West Bengal, Manipur, Daman and Karnataka’s small cottage industrial and handicraft units will showcase their handicrafts products for sale.
With an aim to encourage artisans and provide them marketing platform, the festival will conclude on January 13, 2019.
Industries minister Parasadi Lal Meena will be kicking off the festival that is to be organized at the Ravana’s Chabootara grounds.
