7,300 crores earmarked for infrastructure plans in industrial areas: K J George

New Delhi, Aug 2 (KNN) Responding to the requests made by the small scale industry bodies in Karnataka for proper infrastructure in the industrial regions of the state, Minister for Bengaluru Development & Town Planning KJ George said that the government has allocated fund of 7,300 crores for the same.

The Minister informed about this at the interactive session with the members from Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA).

George assured the MSME representatives that were present during the meet that the state government is keen in speeding up the pending infrastructure projects in and around the industrial areas.

He further informed that the repair works are being taken as priority to avoid problems for the industrial sector in the region.

Emphasizing the need to have proper roads for the smooth movement of goods from the industries of the state, George announced special fund of 5 crore that would be directed towards the road repairs.

The announcements came as a response to the requests by KASSIA. The Industry body presented a video presentation focussing on the problems in infrastructure including roads, broken poles, potholes etc during the meeting with the Minister. (KNN/ DA)
