A delegation of Punjab industrialists meet Commerce Minister Goyal to talk over concerns in MSME sector

New Delhi, 7 Dec (KNN) A high level delegation of Punjab industrialists met Commerce Minister Piyush and Som Parkash, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry at Parliament House to discuss important issues in MSME sector.

Jiwan Gupta, State Gen. Sec. BJP (PB), Pushpinder Gupta, District President BJP, Gurdev Sharma Debi, State Treasurer and Mohan Tayal facilitated the meeting, said the press release.

The delegation comprised of Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU, DS Chawla, President UCPMA, Harsimran Singh Lucky, Gen Sec UCPMA, Rohit Gothi, CEO Hero Cycles, Mahesh Gupta, President Furnace Association, and members of Steel Associations.

Both the ministers discussed all the matters in a detailed manner with the delegation, and said that a meeting with Steel Minister, Senior Govt. Officials and Steel Manufacturers will be arranged to assure that MSMEs get steel at competitive and fair prices.

Additional issues such as GST verification on purchase, Govt. support on Non Validation of Vehicle dismantling plant were raised by the delegation.

Export promotion schemes for MSME and availability of raw material were also some of the topics pressed by the delegates.

They also urged the steel regulatory authorities to keep a check on the continuous rise in steel prices.
