AAP puts forth ‘Private Members Bill’ in Rajya Sabha to stop ongoing sealing drive

New Delhi, Mar 13 (KNN) The Aam Aadmi party (AAP) Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh submitted a private Members Bill on Monday in an attempt to put an end to the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital.

Singh informed that he has proposed the bill and so far since independence only 14 such private bills have been accepted 

He also urged the political parties to come together and pass the bill to end the sealing drive that has been creating a panic among traders in Delhi.

Also today, Protesting against the ongoing sealing  on the directive of a Supreme Court appointed committee, traders in Delhi have called for a ‘trade bandh’ on Tuesday, 13th March.

Civic bodies have undertaken the sealing drive initiated by a Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee on December 2017 last year. The committee is sealing business establishments that are using residential properties for commercial purposes. (KNN/DA)
