Amit Mitra to meet envoys of different countries in mid-Sept for Bengal Global Business Summit

Kolkata, Aug 16 (KNN) West Bengal is gearing up to woo foreign investors in the next Global Business Summit to be hosted in the state in January next year.

Bengal’s Finance, Commerce and Industries Minister, Dr Amit Mitra is planning to meet ambassadors of different countries in mid-September in the national capital to extend invitations.

He will invite foreign delegates to the 2018 edition of Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), which is scheduled for January.

Mishra recently met a dozen honorary consuls asking them to invite their respective countries’ ambassadors to participate in the BGBS.

Dr Mitra asked them to concentrate on specific sectors for bringing business to Bengal and to be partners in the meet.
