All India DWCRA Bazaar begins in Visakhapatnam today

Visakhapatnam, Dec 27 (KNN) The District Rural Development Authority (DRDA), Visakhapatnam in partnership with the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty, Vijayawada, is organising an All India DWCRA Bazaar at Andhra University Engineering College Ground from December 27 to January 7.

The primary aim of the Bazaar is to exhibit wide range of products made by of rural women artisans from all over India.

Addressing a press conference, Joint Collector K.S. Viswanathan said that women of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh, SHGs from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Goa, Haryana, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh would participate in the expo.

A wide varieties of garments, dry flowers, bamboo products, textile products, sarees, jewellery, handloom, handicrafts, bedsheets, home-decor items, spices, carpets, dry fruits, artificial jewellery and jute products would be displayed, he said.

As per reports, a total of 204 Kiosks will be setup at the SARAS Exhibition – 2022-23 (All India DWCRA Bazaar).

The DWCRA Bazaar will also have 14 food courts serving traditional delicacies from various States to the visitors. There will also be cultural programmes during the course of the event.  (KNN Bureau)
