Amplus Solar to set up green hydrogen plants worth Rs 1,500 cr in Andhra Pradesh

Amravati, Mar 22 (KNN) Amplus Solar to invest Rs 1,500 crore to build 7.5 KPTA (kilo tonne per annum) - distributed green hydrogen plants for industrial consumption in Andhra Pradesh.

The energy company on Tuesday announced that to make its plans a reality, the company entered into an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish numerous decentralized green hydrogen plants.

Speaking about the agreement signed, Sharad Pungalia, MD and CEO of Amplus Solar said, “We look to be a key contributor in achieving India's goal of being the global green hydrogen hub and this MoU is our first step toward active participation in the growth of the industry.”

Andhra Pradesh is an industrial hub, with sectors such as petrochemicals, glass manufacturing, cement, fertilizers, and so on.
