Andhra Pradesh CM Concludes Four-Day Singapore Visit For Investment Promotion
Amaravati, Jul 31 (KNN) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu concluded his four-day official visit to Singapore, emphasising the state's potential for business growth and extending invitations to global corporate leaders to participate in the region's economic development.
During his final day, Naidu presented the state's comprehensive strategic development plans and outlined specific implementation approaches for targeted regions.
The Chief Minister engaged in extensive discussions with senior representatives from four major organisations: CapitaLand Investment (India), Mandai Wildlife Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), and Temasek Holdings.
These meetings focused on exploring substantial investment opportunities across various sectors within Andhra Pradesh.
During negotiations with CapitaLand representatives Sanjeev Das Gupta and Gaurishankar Nagabhushan, discussions centred on real estate development projects, industrial parks, data centres, green building initiatives, and digital townships.
Naidu highlighted opportunities for developing information technology parks and plug-and-play workstations in major cities including Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.
The Chief Minister also presented plans to utilise the state's existing port and airport infrastructure for economic expansion, introducing the proposed Hyderabad-Bengaluru-Amaravati-Chennai Airport Economic Corridor.
CapitaLand representatives indicated their company has invested in approximately 30-35 per cent of IT parks in Hyderabad and expressed interest in expanding investments across Andhra Pradesh's real estate and industrial sectors.
In discussions with the Mandai Wildlife Group, Naidu explored initiatives related to wildlife conservation parks, eco-tourism development, biodiversity complexes, and wildlife experience zones.
The Chief Minister proposed collaborative efforts to enhance eco-tourism in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, while examining possibilities for replicating Singapore's Garden City and zoo park models within Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister conducted detailed negotiations with Rajeev Kannan, Managing Executive Officer, SMBC, concentrating on investment opportunities in industrial development, infrastructure projects, green energy initiatives, and urban development programs.
Naidu outlined strategic projects including the proposed Drone City and Defence and Civil Aerospace Corridor planned for the Lepakshi and Orvakal regions.
In a significant meeting with Dinesh Khanna, Joint Head of Portfolio Development and Corporate Strategy, Temasek Holdings, Naidu sought support for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Andhra Pradesh.
Temasek representatives expressed interest in partnering with the state government to promote MSME development. Naidu emphasised the importance of collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to accelerate developmental progress.
The Chief Minister highlighted diverse opportunities available across multiple sectors in Andhra Pradesh, including green energy, food processing, healthcare, technology, and sustainable infrastructure development.
Temasek Holdings expressed willingness to explore formal agreements through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in these identified areas.
Throughout the visit, Naidu consistently emphasized Andhra Pradesh's abundant natural resources and strategic positioning as key factors contributing to the state's investment potential and business growth opportunities.
