Andhra Pradesh govt partners Oppo India to support deep tech start-ups in state

Amravati, Mar 7 (KNN) The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), a Nodal Agency for promoting the growth of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Start-up Ecosystem in the state inked an MoU with Oppo India to support deep tech start-ups.

Oppo India on Monday said that the agreement was signed by Tasleem Arif, Vice President, India R&D Head, Oppo India, and Anil Kumar Tentu, Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society at the Global Investors Summit 2023.

“Both the partners aim to accelerate the overall innovation culture in the country and mentor start-ups that have the potential to bring the next big technological change in the industry,” an official statement said.

Under the agreement, the smartphone brand will connect with start-ups through a series of programs, including setting up labs for budding entrepreneurs and offering professional support in research and mentorship.

Further, it will also organise innovation challenges, hackathons, and workshops to empower entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts.

“Oppo and APIS share a common DNA for fostering a culture of innovation by focusing on the growth of entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystems. Through this program, we hope to help start-ups truly scale the impact of technology and empower the next generation of innovators to bring their ideas to life by leveraging the combined resources of both organizations,” Arif said.

Both the partners will jointly work with entrepreneurs and industry experts to promote the integration of technology research and development by providing a platform for start-ups to showcase their ideas and innovation.  (KNN Bureau)
