Andhra Pradesh govt sets up over 1 lakh MSME units in last 3 years

Amaravati, Feb 20 (KNN) In the last three years about 1,06,249 MSME units were established in Andhra Pradesh at an investment of Rs 14,656 crore.

In this total there were 35,181 manufacturing units and 71,068 service units with Rs 9,742 crore and Rs 4,914 crore investments for respective sectoral units.

In view of large and mega industries the state government managed to set up production of 107 big industries with a committed investment of 46,002 crore since 2019.

These units provided employment to 7,22,092 people, according to official statistics.

Another 57 projects are under implementation with a committed investment of 91,243 crore and a potential to create employment to 1,09,307 people, officials said. 

In fact, four central public sector undertakings (PSUs) are going for expansion with a committed investment of 1,06,800 crore in the state. 

The PSU expansions are expected to create employment for 79,200 people.  (KNN Bureau)
