Global Investors Summit 2023 to position Andhra Pradesh as gateway to Southeast Asia

Visakhapatnam, Jan 27 (KNN) The Andhra Pradesh government is organising the Global Investors Summit 2023, on March 3 and 4, 2023 at Visakhapatnam with an aim to become the most preferred global destination and India’s gateway to the Southeast Asia by 2050.

The state government has identified 13 focus sectors to attract sector-specific investment opportunities during the two-day summit.

Some of the focus sectors include - Aerospace & Defence, Agri & Food Processing, Automobile & Electric Vehicles, Electronics & IT, Healthcare & Medical Equipment, Industrial & Logistics Infrastructure, MSME and Startups & Innovation, Petroleum & Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences, Renewable Energy, Skill Development & Education, Textiles & Apparel and Tourism & Hospitality.

A meeting to interact with industrialists, captains of the industry, and media to seek their active participation in AP GIS 2023 was called by the government.

The Andhra Pradesh government for its Global Investors Summit has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi PM, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft Executive Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella.

Calling it as an opportune moment for Andhra Pradesh to showcase the evident strengths of the state, G Srijana, Director for Industries, Commerce & Export Promotion said, “We can tell the world why there is an advantage being with us in terms of being No. 1 in ease of doing business consistently for quite some years.”

Srijana, who is also Vice Chairman & MD, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, noted that for the past three years, the state has been No. 1 in stakeholder feedback.

Echoing similar views shared by Srijana, R Karikal Valaven, Special Chief Secretary to Andhra Pradesh Government, said once major investments come, downstream industries will develop which will in turn boost the MSME sector.  (KNN Bureau)
