Hisense Partners With EPACK For New Manufacturing Facility In AP

Amaravati, Oct 22 (KNN) Hisense, the global consumer electronics manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with EPACK Durable Limited (EDL) to establish a new manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The state-of-the-art plant, set to commence operations in June 2025, will primarily focus on producing room air conditioners and other home appliances, with a projected annual capacity of one million units by fiscal year 2028.

Steven Li, Managing Director, Hisense India, emphasised the significance of this collaboration, stating that the partnership would strengthen their manufacturing capabilities while enabling the company to create products tailored for Indian consumers.

The facility is expected to serve both domestic demands and international markets, aligning with Hisense's localisation strategy.

EPACK Durable Limited's Managing Director and CEO, Ajay DD Singhania, expressed optimism about the venture, highlighting the partnership's potential to drive growth across domestic and international markets.

Hisense, founded in 1969, has established itself as a prominent player in the global consumer electronics and home appliances sector, operating across more than 160 countries.

The company reported significant financial success in 2023, achieving global revenues of approximately USD 29 billion, with international sales accounting for over 40 percent of total revenue.

Beyond its consumer products division, Hisense maintains a diverse portfolio that extends into business-to-business sectors, including transportation and medical technology.

The company's brand portfolio encompasses several renowned names in the industry, including Toshiba TV, Gorenje, and ASKO.
