TERI facilitates Japanese energy efficiency tech to Andhra Pradesh-based MSMEs

Vijayawada, Jan 14 (KNN) Tapping Andhra Pradesh’s ability to promote energy efficiency, the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has decided to offer Japanese energy-efficient technologies to the MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh.

TERI is of the opinion that the state has wide scope to address serious challenges faced by the sector.

Its objective is to introduce low-carbon technologies in AP MSMEs with the help of the Japanese Government after due consultation and consent from the Union Ministry of Power-led Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and other concerned ministries.

The Delhi-based institute is focusing in the fields of energy and environment has strongly focused on the MSME sector to promote energy efficiency.

A two-day conference on "Building a Resilient De-carbonized Society in India through Environmental Infrastructure and Technology" was conducted by TERI on Thursday and Friday in New Delhi in association with IGES (Institute of Global Environmental Strategies), Japan and other Indian as well as Japanese organizations.  (KNN Bureau)
