Andhra's new industrial policy offers sops for SMEs

Hyderabad, Jul 17 (KNN) Laying stress on the development of the secondary sector, both manufacturing as well as services,  the new industrial policy recently announced in the state of Andhra Pradesh offers sops for the entrepreneurs willing to set up medium and small scale industries.

Addressing a meeting of industrialists, Joint Collector Vivek Yadav has said the government laid stress on the development of the secondary sector, including manufacturing and services sectors, according to media reports.

Under the draft industrial policy, the government has decided to boost the infrastructure, investment proportion, skill development, focus on thrust areas, export promotion, innovation and financial incentives and concessions.

It will also give some concessions to entrepreneurs willing to set up medium and small scale industries like 100 per cent reimbursement of stamp duty, transfer duty, 25 per cent rebate in land cost, 25 per cent concession in land conversion charge and subsidised power supply at the rate of 0.75 paise per unit.
