AP to get Leather Park

Hyderabad, Jan 25 (KNN) A leather park with world class infrastructure for tanning and processing will soon come up in Andhra Pradesh, promoted by the Krishnapatnam International Leather Complex Private Limited (KPILC). 

KPILC located in Nellore district is a joint venture of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and Leather Industries Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (LIDCAP).

The park will be developed with latest technology in effluent treatment with clear environmentally friendly environs and will have state of the art production facilities to produce high end leather for quality product production. 

It will have the capability to process around 300 tonnes of hides and skins per day.

Towards this, the corporation has invited bids from entrepreneurs to establish units in the proposed park.

KPILC is developing the leather park in 360 acres of land under Mega Leather Cluster Scheme.

Its world class facilities would include central common facilities such as effluent treatment with marine outfall, storm water drainage, secured landfill, green belt, roads and lighting, research and testing facility, shopping complex, business centre, training institute, communication centre, cafeteria and warehousing unit.
