AP to host global Biobusiness Forum

Hyderabad, Jan 15 (KNN)  To promote knowledge exchange and a networking platform for business leaders of life sciences, a three day forum will be held here next month.

Organised by BioAsia, the global business forum which is an international life sciences event conducted every year by the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), State Government of Andhra Pradesh and Federal Government of India is scheduled to be held from February 17 to 19. 

The aim of the forum is to develop key recommendations for industry and government for organised and effective harnessing of nutraceutical and food technology potentials in the overall healthcare.

The three day event will focus on areas like agriculture and food technology, health and nutrition through modern biotechnology, probiotic and bioactive foods, challenges in development and commercialisation of functional foods and dietary supplements, policy, regulation and market place of nutraceutical technologies, nutrition research and personalised health, entrepreneurship and innovation in food and nutraceutical business.

Participants at the event would include representatives from various economy sectors like scientists, regulatory heads, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, scholars and innovators.

They would get an opportunity to hear from global experts on the latest scientific developments and industry trends.  They will also get insights into the market outlook of food and nutraceutical opportunities in India and Asia.

Significantly, the event would provide a platform to explore technology licensing and investment opportunities.

Overall, BioAsia forum will highlight India’s strengths and the emerging opportunities in addition to addressing the challenge of preserving the country’s traditional and natural nutraceutical resources.  (KNN/ST)
