Arunachal Pradesh government to set up oil palm processing unit in East Siang district
Itanagar, June 30 (KNN) The Arunachal Pradesh government has signed an agreement with Ruchi Soya Industries to set up an oil palm manufacturing and processing unit.
The unit will be set up at the Niglok Industrial Growth Centre in the East Siang district.
The MoU was signed between Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development Finance Corporations Limited (APIDFCL), MD Hage Tari and Subhas Bhattacharjee (head North East region) of Ruchi Soya Industries.
The manufacturing unit will benefit farmers and other entrepreneurs as a large portion of unused land in the state could be utilized for plantations of oil palm on a large scale.
This agreement will play an important role in the welfare of farmer communities in long run and in generating employment among the youth.
APIDFCL being a lone State Public Sector Undertaking for financing and promoting industrial development can play a pivotal role in generating employment for women entrepreneurs and youth by inviting big investors into the State. (KNN Bureau)
