Awareness programme on Govt schemes held in Pulwama, J&K for artisans & weavers

Pulwama, Sept 7 (KNN) An awareness cum exhibition camp was organised by the Handicrafts & Handloom (H&H) Department Pulwama at Pampor Town Hall in Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday.

The primary objective of the event was to make local artisans and weavers aware about the government schemes and initiatives related to Handicraft and Handlooms.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Awantipora, Zaffar Hussain inaugurated the camp in presence of DDC Member Tazeem and other PRI members.

Speaking at the event, Hussain lauded the efforts of the handicrafts & handloom department in reaching out to the artisans and weavers and helping them raise their awareness regarding the active schemes of the department.

Assistant Director, H&H, Pulwama, Mohammad Yaseen Bhat highlighted the significance of H&H sector. He also spoke about the reforms and initiatives taken by the department under the guidance of Director, Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah.

Tehsildar Pampore, BDO Pampore and officers of various line departments were amongst those present at the inaugural ceremony.  (KNN Bureau)
