Awareness programme on quality technology tools

Patna, Jan 19 (KNN) In an effort to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) understand and adopt the latest Quality Management Standards (QMS) and Quality Technology Tools (QTTs), the (MSME-DI) Patliputra Industrial Estate, in association with Patna Industrial Area and Estate association have organised an awareness campaign here.

QMS and QTTs are components of the scheme of National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP).

The awareness programme on was held on January 8, 2015 at Patliputra Industrial Estate, Patna to help MSMEs become more competitive and produce better quality products at competitive prices, according to the Ministry’s social media site.

The adoption of these tools will enable them to achieve efficient use of resources, improvement in product quality and reduction in rejection and re-work in the course of manufacturing.

It will also help them reduce building up inventory at various stages in the form of raw materials, work-in- progress, finished components and finished products.

NMCP is the nodal programme of the Government of India to develop global competitiveness among Indian MSMEs. (KNN/ST)
