Belgaum women entrepreneurs demand role in state and national level programs from DC

New Delhi, Sept 25 (KNN) The women cell of Laghu Udyog Bharati submitted a memorandum to S B Bommanahalli who has recently taken charge as Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi.

In a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, the women entrepreneurs urged Bommanahalli to involve North Karnataka women entrepreneurs in government organized state, national and international programmes for women.

Speaking to KNN India, Belgaum based entrepreneur cum Laghu Udyog Bharati (Belgaum) Secretary, Priya Puranik said that the state government organizes many programmes for women entrepreneurs but because of lack of information women entrepreneurs of North Karnataka are not kept informed timely.

Women entrepreneurs of North Karnataka do not get an opportunity to participate in such programmes that give exposure to women as most of the programmes are organized in the capital city, she added.

She further said that these women should be involved in national and international programmes so that they can also get a golden opportunity to visit foreign countries and learn from their experiences.

Albeit, we get information about district level programmes for women but what about state, national and international level programmes, she questioned.

Deputy Commissioner has assured them for early redressal of their demands.

Priya Vandana Puranik, State Secretary LUB, Vani Vilas Joshi,  Vani Ramchandanu  and Vidya, a Member of Laghu Udyog Bharati were present during the interaction.
