New Delhi, July 15 (KNN) Aiming at boosting the industrial activity in the state, the government of West Bengal is planning an industrial township in the Howrah district. Also as a part of the project, a dedicated hub would be established to facilitate setting up of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the district.

In a press interview Rajiva Sinha, Additional Chief Secretary, Industry, Commerce and Enterprise informed about the proposal.

He informed that the government is in process of identifying a large area where the industrial township could be established. This township would further have industrial parks of different sectors including chemical, rubber, plastic and foundry.

Under the project, the township authority will provide all necessary infrastructures necessary for setting up of the industries.
