Bengal Govt’s online issuance of fire license has improved EOBD environment for industrialists, says Fire Dept

Kolkata, Aug 28 (KNN) A move that has improved ease of doing business environment in the state, the Bengal Fire and Environment Department has said online issuance of fire license by the Bengal Government has helped industrialists in a big way.

The move aims to bring down the time period required for getting such a license and also help those setting up industrial units in the state with lesser paper work.

The Bengal Government is in the process of devising a mechanism to make sure a fool-proof fire safety system.

The government has bought four hydraulic ladders, the tallest among them being 66 metres high.

It is being seen that people are whole-heartedly adopting a culture of fire safety in the state – becoming more safety-compliant and adhering to safety rules more than ever before, All India Trinamool Congress has said. (KNN Bureau)
