Bengal IT Park inaugurated in Haldia; 7 more parks to come up in 2017

Kolkata, Jan 3 (KNN) The Bengal Information Technology Park will facilitate IT industry in the state by providing plug and play facilities.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday inaugurated the ‘Bengal Information Technology Park’ at Haldia.

24X7 quality power supply, security and support services will also be provided to the park.

The Bengal Government will open seven Information Technology parks in the state by 2017, the state IT minister had earlier said.

He had said that three hardware parks were coming up in the state, besides setting up of an institute of data sciences and a cyber security centre of excellence for protection of data.

The Bengal Government is also keen on a start-up action plan, which will be targeted at the young population in the state, All India Trinamool Congress has said.
