Patna, Mar 7 (KNN) In an effort to make the government more responsive and efficient, the Bihar government has proposed to implement a pilot project for e-governance at the district level.

The Bihar State Electronic Development Corporation Limited (BSEDC) will soon install load balancer, KVM tray with rack and path cables for the e-district pilot project.

The project is being implemented on the BOOT model. In this project the vendor has to provide hardware, software, connectivity, networking and data digitization for three collectorates, ten sub divisions and 52 blocks /circle offices for Nalanda, Aurangabad, Madhubani and Gaya districts.

In this regard, BSEDC has invited bids from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or their authorised business partners to be service provider.

e-District as a concept proposes integrated and seamless delivery of citizen services by district administration through automation of workflow, backend digitization, integration and process re-design across participating departments such as revenue, civil Supply, social welfare, election, land records and registration.

The project is expected to provide the maximum benefits to the common citizens as they will be able to get the government services with minimum delays at their doorsteps.

After successful completion and execution of the project in the first four pilot districts, the scheme would be launched in the remaining 34 districts of the state.  (KNN/ST)
