Bihar milk seeks to expand storage

Patna, Apr 16 (KNN) The Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd (COMPFED) has proposed to expand its storage by disseminating milk products to different places.

The federation wished to transport milk powder in storage of SMP, WMP (in dry store) and white butter (in cold store or deep froze) in and around 12 places including Patna, Hajipur, Barauni, Biharsharif and Gaya in Bihar, Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Bokaro in Jharkhand and Mubarak near Amroha, Ghaziabad and Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.

In this context, COMPFED is inviting bids from transport agencies to provide transportation service at 12 destinations.

The transport carrier will deliver the goods at the destinations in safe and sound condition as handed over to the carrier by the federation. It will use tarpaulin and or other suitable cover to protect the consignment from sun, rain, water, dust etc.

It will arrange for door delivery of consignment to the consignee at the destination. (KNN/ST)
